Record Virginia liens before the end of the 90-day window
Virginia's 90-day deadline is measured from the end of the month of last furnishing, giving you slightly more time than it appears. But don't push it — courthouse delays can cause you to miss the window.
In Virginia, a memorandum of mechanic's lien must be recorded within 90 days of the last day of the month in which the claimant last performed work or furnished materials. An action to enforce must be filed within 6 months of recording.
